During analysis of the site, there was a stark juxtaposition between those with fragile housing conditions and the number of abandoned or dis-used buildings. By developing a 'hub' of construction, people learn building skills and use this to form the houses within and outwith the site. To develop and invest in where they live, as well as encourage construction as a livelihood. Of course, the reason these buildings are disused is much more historically and politically complex, but the site aims to act as an example of how occupation of buildings is much more rewarding than empty plots.
